Dr. Mittal began the session by explaining the structure and functioning of the human eye. She highlighted prevalent eye conditions among teenagers, including myopia, hypermetropia, digital eye strain, and the effects of prolonged screen time. Her presentation emphasized the early signs of eye problems and the necessity of regular eye check-ups for maintaining optimal vision.
The session also covered practical tips for maintaining eye health, such as proper screen usage, the 20-20-20 rule to reduce eye strain, and the importance of a balanced diet rich in vitamins beneficial for eyesight. Dr. Mittal underscored the impact of lifestyle choices on eye health and encouraged students to adopt healthy habits to protect their vision.
Students actively engaged in the interactive segment, asking questions about eye care routines and potential career opportunities in ophthalmology.
