I am Lieutenant Colonel Vaibhav Sharma, an alumnus of the 2006 batch. Currently, I am on deputation with Assam Rifles (MHA) in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh.
Education and Commission:
I appeared for the NDA written exam in April 2006 and the SSB interview in September. I joined the 117th NDA course in December 2006. After three years of successful training I passed out in December 2009 and proceeded to IMA for arm-specific training. I was commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army on 11 December 2010.
Military Career:
I was commissioned into the 9th Battalion, The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, and joined the unit in Jaipur in January 2011. Since then, I have served in various locations, including Arunachal Pradesh, Jodhpur, Tibri, Kargil, Pathankot, Manipur, and currently, Arunachal Pradesh.
