Agnel Darpan

Alumni Reflection

Osama Shahid

Batch of 2005

I graduated from Fr. Agnel in 2005, where I had the privilege to complete my schooling since the age of 3. My formative years here were crucial in preparing me for the challenges that came my way.

Not only did the rigorous intellectual training allow me to excel in my studies and work, but also the discipline that was inculcated in us made me prioritize responsibility and rigor in all aspects of life. I remember engaging in sports such as Badminton and Volleyball, alongside academics. It is a practice I carried through until today, as a professional bodybuilder and Certified Personal Trainer. Moreover, extra-curricular activities like gave me the opportunity to hone my public speaking skills. Most importantly, the encouragement I received from teachers instilled confidence in me to undertake risks and new challenges. This enabled me to go abroad to the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom for my higher education, as well as to undertake a wide variety of professional roles such as an Investment Portfolio Management and establishing my own Garments Export House alongside a Tattoo Studio. The fondest memories of my childhood lie in this place, where I met some of my closest friends as well as amazing mentors/teachers who went out of their way to support me and continue to inspire me. It has led me to remain an active member of the Fr. Agnel Alumni Association (now known as Agnel Darpan), to do my small part in a wide variety of activities which in turn helps bringing people together to ensure that this prestigious institution continues to grow and shape excellent students.
